The Insured or the Underwriters may cancel the Policy in accordance with the provisions of the Policy. If the insurance company cancels the policy, the entire unearned premium must be refunded to the Insured. If the Policyholder cancels the policy, an amount less than the unearned premium will be refunded. The retained difference reflects the insurance company’s administrative costs associated with arranging the policy. Usually this condition applies only to property and casualty insurance.
