80% of jewelry is set with Cubic Zirconia (CZ). Cubic Zirconia is also known as CZ or ECz stone or artificial diamond. For more details about What is Cubic Zirconia ( CZ ) ? Let’s find out with us in this article.

What is Cubic Zirconia (CZ)?
Cubic Zirconia (CZ) is abbreviated as CZ, ECZ, they are also known as artificial diamonds. The reason they are called so is because of their beauty, optical properties… not inferior to natural diamonds. They are man-made crystals produced from Zirconium(IV)-oxide (Baddeleyite), through purification and high temperature stability.
Cubic Zirconia (also known as Fianit), was first developed in 1937 at the Lebedev Institute (FIAN Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, hence the name Fianit). Because of the stone’s hardness of 8-8.5 on the Mohs scale and refining, developed through an advanced manufacturing process, they evolved into high quality jewelry, but at a low cost and now are in high demand in the jewelry industry.
Conclusion, Cubic Zirconia is a synthetic stone with the main component being ZrO2, stable powder. The amount of each ingredient is carefully controlled to create a high-quality synthetic stone that has a finesse close to that of a diamond.

The advantages of CZ . stone
Zirconia crystals are usually colorless but machining and adding certain metal oxides (dopant) to the stone powder during grinding can create a colorful look.

Like diamonds and other stones, cubic zircons are also rated according to the 4C . standard
The 4C standard will evaluate Cubic Zirconia (CZ) stone based on 4 physical factors: Cutting technique (Cut), Mass (Carat), Color (Color), transparency (Clarity).
Cutting technique (Cut):
The cut is very important, a Cubic Zirconia stone possesses perfect beauty only when it reflects the most light. It is believed that a perfectly cut stone will increase in value even if its mass is reduced by 30% during the cutting process. Because in the cutting process will increase the clarity as well as color of Cubic Zirconia.
The mass of a Cubic Zirconia is also a criterion for determining the value, however not a large stone is worth more than a smaller sized stone. They are only more valuable when comparing stones of the same color, clarity and cut.
Color ( Color ):
The color of a Cubic Zirconia stone will be rated on a scale from D to Z. Cz stones in the D bar are usually colorless, clear like drops of water and have the highest value. However, the value of Cz stones begins to increase as they reach the “fancy color” threshold. These colored stones are an exception to the DZ scale value as this color is extremely rare and much loved.

The transparency of Cubic Zirconia is evaluated based on the results of looking under the hood 10 times, scratches, colors, impurities … all are used to evaluate a Cubic Zirconia stone. Cubic stones that are pure, free of impurities will be appreciated and have a higher value than other stones.
